Using Tea in Cocktails

Tea is a creative way to dress up cocktails and there are many ways to incorporate it into your drinks.
Prepare your tea as you would normally and then chill it (or don't). Depending on the drink you are preparing you can incorporate it as an additional flavor in smaller measurements or showcase it as the main profile in larger amounts.
Use tea leaves to make your own simple syrups by adding equal parts sugar and water in with tea leaves in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a rolling boil, then remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
Use tea leaves to infuse alcohol. Whether it be vodka, rum, whiskey or whatever you prefer, by adding in your favorite tea leaves and storing in a tightly closed container anywhere from 48 hours to 2 weeks, you can create delicious cocktails with fun infusions of your usual spirits.
Use your tea leaves as a beutiful garnish. You can add the leaves to the rim or outside body of the glass, or gently sprinkle some to the top of your cocktail for some added color and extra aromatics with every sip.
